Measuring instructions
Measuring properly takes five minutes and prevents virtually every installation problem. You measure the clear opening — we account for all tolerances, so there is nothing to add or subtract.
Step 1 — Measuring the height
Measure the height at three points: left, middle and right — each time from the floor to the underside of the gutter. Floors and gutters are almost never perfectly level, which is why we need all three. Pass on all three measurements — we produce against the smallest one so the wall fits everywhere.
- 1Height left
- 2Height middle
- 3Height right
Step 2 — Measuring the width
Measure the width at two points: along the top and along the bottom — each time from the inside of one post to the inside of the other, in millimetres. Pass on both measurements; that instantly shows us if the opening runs out of square.
- 1Top width (inside of post to inside of post)
- 2Bottom width (inside of post to inside of post)
